Monforte d'Alba

One of the "most beautiful villages in Italy". It is located in the middle of the Barolo wine-growing region. There are a few wineries, a beautiful church, a huge purple bench and a small amphitheater to visit.

Piedmont

Known for its Barolo, Barbera and Moscato wines as well as roasted hazelnuts and aromatic white truffles. Visit Alba or Barolo, for example.

Turin

The capital of the Piedmont region is characterized by its Baroque and Renaissance heritage. Birthplace of Fiat and Juventus FC. Next to the city is one of the largest royal residences, the Reggia di Venaria Reale.

Milan

Art and architecture lovers should visit the cathedral, "The Last Supper" and the Ambrosian Library. Unfortunately, August is not a good month for La Scala. The Pinacoteca di Brera in the chic Brera district is also very beautiful.

Como

Only 40 minutes by train from Milan, Lake Como is worth a day trip. The park of Villa Olmo, the village of Nesso and Villa Balbianello (for Mr. Bond and Star Wars lovers) are the most beautiful places. You can take a ferry between the villages.

Cinque Terre

The "Five Lands" consist of five villages with colorful houses that stretch up the hills. Vernazza is one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy". Monterosso offers the best beaches.

Pisa

Pisa is located in Tuscany and is famous for its leaning tower. The city can be reached by train in 1h:50m from Genoa.

Lugano

Located in Switzerland, with a Mediterranean flair. Beautiful views from Monte Bre and San Salvatore. The Lido di Lugano beach is well maintained. Parco Ciani is good for Insta-pictures. 1h:15m by train from Milan.
